Charles Roy “Chuck” Ivester Jr., 52, passed away unexpectedly December 17, 2025, due to health complications while working with his beloved dog Lily in Fontana, California. Chuck was born March 2, 1973, to Charles Roy “Chuck” Ivester Sr. and Sherryl Ann Morris, raised in West Jordan, Utah. He attended Taylorsville High School, moved to Layton Utah, and settled in Roy, Utah.

At a very young age Chuck started working at Deseret Mortuary detailing vehicles where his mother worked. As he got a little older worked for Albertson’s Grocery as a bagger before becoming a meat cutter at Smith’s. Chuck’s passion was to drive truck like his father and Grand Father. He was so excited to change careers from grocery to driving truck. Chuck worked for various companies before starting his own business, Ivester’s Transportation, in 2007. In 2023 began his 2nd business, Ivester’s Logistics.

Chuck loved his business; he enjoyed meeting everyone along his path. He was a very welcoming person to all he met in his lifetime. While working as the owner of Ivester’s Transportation, Chuck was a committee member for the Great Salt Truck Show. Chuck absolutely loved being part of the Truck Show, looking forward to it every year. Chuck loved so many things. With his father’s side he had always had a love for Country music. Once his parents divorced his Uncle Gary had a band named Lixx where Chuck would hang out during band practices. This introduced a different side of life where he found his favorite band Kiss with others to follow like Motley Crue, Metallica, and Ozzy Osbourne. His favorite movies consisted of Star Wars, Star Trek, Transformers, Grown Ups, and he loved to twist it to The Great Outdoors. Chuck also loved audio books, and cooking. His best meals were his Thanksgiving and Christmas Turkey, big breakfast, pot roast, steak, and has been the only one to ever make Grandma Alda’s homemade flour noodles. Chuck loved to travel, he especially loved his family camping and boating trips. He loved his guns, motorcycles, four wheelers, boats, fishing, hunting, and telling campfire stories. Over everything, he very much loved being a father and papa. Chuck really loved all his family and friends.

His biggest passion was Trucking. His favorite restaurant to stop by was Timberline Restaurant in Beaver, Utah. He loved his Semi Trucks, especially “The Compromise.” Chuck would always travel with his beloved trucking puppies Lola, Lucy, and Lily.
