Charles D. Brannon (Charlie), born on February 11, 1943, in Milford Utah passed away peacefully leaving behind a legacy of love and family. He was the cherished son of Evelyn Van Wensveen and Charles E Brannon.
On August 4, 1962, Charlie married his beloved wife Barbara Spilman Brannon with whom he shared a remarkable journey of over six decades.
Charlie was a devoted family man blessed with five children Bart (Diana) Brannon, Shar (Todd) Hammer, Stormy (Patrick) Gaudin, Patty Badda, Pete (Kristy) Brannon. His family continued to grow, and he took immense pride in his 19 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in his heart. We would also like to recognize his wonderful friends Gil and Renee.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother Evelyn his father Charles, his sister Carol (Billy), sister Peggy (Moe), his dad Pete, his sister in law Vicky Brannon, his niece Kimmy Martin, his nephew Brett Brannon, his in laws Ray and Mary Spilman, sister in law Marilyn, and brother in laws Doug and Randy.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, also one of his absolute best friends, brother Jack Brannon.
A Celebration of Charlie’s life will be held on Wednesday December 18, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary located at 1867 North Fairfield Road Layton Utah. A Catholic Mass in his honor will take place on December 19, 2024, at 10:00 am at the St. Rose of Lima Church at 210 Chapel Street Layton Utah.
Charlie will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
