In every garden she touched, something beautiful grew - and in every person she met or challenge she faced, curiosity sparked. Charlene Magnuson had a gift for making plants, ideas, friendships and love grow.
Born on May 15, 1936 in Boise, Idaho, she lived a life rooted in love, laughter and lifelong learning. She delighted in discovering something new every day, a passion that led her to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Idaho and a Master's in Business Administration from Boise State University. Her education was the foundation for a diverse and successful career, serving as a Medical Technologist with the VA Administration and later as an Appeals Officer with the IRS.
Charlene is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Don Magnuson, and a daughter, Donna Price. She is survived by a daughter Lisa (and Brian Davis), a son Brad (and Stacy Magnuson), granddaughters Cherise and Charlie and their families to include great-grandchildren Kenley and Camden. She cherished her family, always encouraging them to dream big and supporting them every step of the way. Her greatest sorrow was the loss of her daughter, with whom she and Don share the joy of reunion.
Charlene's home was filled with the color of flowers, the warmth of her generous smile, and the sparkle of occasionally mischievous humor. She leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, kindness, and beauty - reflected not only in her plants and flowers but also in the countless lives she touched.
