Chad Mosher

Chad Lewis Mosher

October 8, 1969 ~ May 7, 2016

Chad Mosher showed up, jazzed things up, gave it his all and finally, on Saturday, May 7, chose to move on after a long, valiant, battle with this thing called life.  Chad is a much-loved friend, husband, brother, father, grandfather, warrior.

From the time he appeared on this earth October 8, 1969 in Ogden, UT, Chad was the celebration. Chad was blessed with an amazing amount of creativity, which he used to serve others and to brighten the world. His zest for life and love of people was evident in everything he did. His contagious smile and expansive heart was a source of strength for all those with which he associated. He was a great support to others and was a shoulder to cry on for many. Chad had a tender heart and a strong faith in God. Chad was extremely generous, full of kindness, compassion, service and love for everyone. Chad’s motto was to “always leave things better than you found them”, which included those who were blessed to have known him.

Chad was involved in many circles. His interests and talents were far-reaching. Chad was a party-planning, drum-making, sweat-lodging, joke-playing, Gospel-Doctrine-teaching, play-performing, floral-arranging, costume-designing, glitter-throwing, feather-carrying, ceremony-leading, float-making, holiday-decorating, over-the-top-gardening, extra-miling amazing, amazing human being.

Chad was always working to better himself. Chad had two bachelor degrees and had recently earned his master’s in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University.

Chad’s greatest love was for his family, which is evident to any who had the pleasure of hearing Chad enthusiastically describe his wife and kids. Chad is survived by his wife Dori Mosher, his children Victoria Stauffer (Devon Holbrook), Matisse Mosher, Hannah Mosher, Olivia Mosher, Nicholas Mosher, and Zoe Mosher, grandchildren Jaxson Holbrook and Joslynn Holbrook, a brother Tony (Shelley) Mosher, and sisters Valerie (Kenny) Graham, and Tara (Kevin) Taylor. Chad is preceded in death by his mother Mary Greene, his father Harry Mosher, and his brother Jeff White.
