Catherine Renee Coleman Wilcox died November 12, 2022 at the age of 64. She was born June 25, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan.
Catherine grew up living in lots of places, including Texas, Ohio, Oceana, Florida, and West Virginia which she called home. Catherine was a graduate of Oceana High School before moving to Ohio where she connected with missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized. Catherine remained a faithful member of the church throughout her life and loved The Gospel.
Catherine moved to Utah and met her sweetheart and eternal companion, Craig Wilcox. After she served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nashville, Tennessee, she and Craig were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 23, 1981.
Catherine was an avid reader and loved a good mystery. She also loved doing crafts, playing games, and laughing-- with epic pranks and cheesy jokes being her specialties. Catherine loved serving others and she held many callings serving her local church congregations. She was a proud graduate of Davis Technical College's Medical Office Administration program and loved continuing to work for the college after graduation.
Catherine is proceeded in death by both of her biological parents, Mary Alice Marlow and William "Bill" Coleman as well as John "Pitts" Steffey and Wanda Steffey, who helped raise her. Catherine is survived by her husband Craig, her oldest daughter Emily Barnhill (Matthew), her son Joseph (Amelia), and her youngest daughter Maricatherine.
The family would like to offer their sincere gratitude to staff at Harrison Pointe who were so diligent in caring for Catherine these past two years. A special thank you to Atlas Hospice who helped to keep her comfortable and cared for in her last few weeks of life.
