Listen to Obituary

Carson Michael Mills passed away September 14, 2025, after a long courageous battle with DIPG, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

He was born on April 14, 2005 to Jeffrey and Nicole Mills in Ogden, Utah. He was the baby of the family and was adored by his parents and three sisters. Having a special relationship with each one.

Growing up, his sister often called him, “The Golden Child”, as he was just good! Even as a child, he always tried to do what was right. He loved soccer and played from the time he was three years old until his high school years. He was truly in his element when he was outside. He loved the mountains and camping. He loved to swim and wake board. He loved being in the snow and snowboarding.

Carson was curious and always wanted to know how things worked. He would often take things apart and then put them back together. He was his dad’s shadow during his growing up years, soaking up knowledge and learning how to fix almost anything.

Carson graduated from Northridge High School in 2023. His high school years brought many of his favorite memories and are where he learned great life lessons. He played the baritone saxophone in marching band, wind ensemble and jazz band. He joined the wrestling team during his senior year and instantly loved it. He developed his interest in welding during high school, which led to taking courses at Davis Tech and his first job as a welder at Utility Trailer. He loved working there and was heartbroken when he couldn’t work any longer.

Carson loved music. He played the alto saxophone, the baritone saxophone, the guitar and was learning to play the piano. He could always be found tapping his feet or hands to the beat of any music playing.

Carson was dedicated and driven. He diligently went to the gym, almost daily. His physical strength was matched only by his emotional and mental resilience. He took great pride in taking care of his body and his mind.

Carson was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He shared his testimony of the Savior, Jesus Christ, with those around him, simply by being himself. He’d drop what he was doing and help anyone that he came across.

Though his life was cut short, his impact on those around him will be felt forever. Carson was kind, thoughtful, compassionate, forgiving, hardworking, diligent and faithful. He had the best quirky sense of humor. He will be sorely missed, but his memory will live on in everyone who knew him.

Carson is survived by his parents, Jeffrey and Nicole Mills. His sisters, Kaitlyn Mills, Krista (Mark) Fernelius and Kara Mills. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Grant and Georgia Mills and Donald and Marie Jex.

They say it takes a village to raise a child. We’d like to thank Carson’s village for not only helping him as he grew, but also for showing up for him during these last hard months and years! You made a difference in his life and lightened the load he carried.
