Carrol L. (Pace) Hoggatt

Bountiful – Our cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, Carrol L. (Pace) Hoggatt passed away at her home on September 14, 2022.  She was 74 years old. She was born on March 28, 1948, to Leon and Ruth Pace in Price, UT where she grew up.  She graduated from Carbon County High School in 1966 and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Elementary Education and Business from the College of Eastern Utah. She lived in Casper, Wyoming for many years before moving back to Utah to care for her mother.  She spent most of her career in banking, most recently retiring from Wells Fargo Bank in Bountiful in 2016.

Carrol was a devoted and proud mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.  She supported her family in every way and was always their biggest cheerleader. She loved nothing more than to watch her grandsons play baseball and to play board games with them.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed going to the movies with her friends.  She loved to laugh.  She liked meeting new people and helping them during her career at the bank. She was witty, generous, thoughtful, and brought a smile to everyone’s face that she met.

Carrol will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her only daughter Kellee (Jason) Gerig of Lone Tree, CO; her two grandsons Brooks and Crew Gerig; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and brother, Eddie Leon Pace.

Carrol requested no services be held. She will be buried next to her beloved parents in Price, UT at a later date.
