Carolyn Sue Toscan

Carolyn Sue Toscan, 81, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on December 6, 1934, in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Bobbie Lee Hitson and Ocle Newman.  At age eight, Carolyn moved to Roy, Utah, with her parents Bobbie Lee and John N. Thomas.  She graduated from Weber High School.

She married Tony L. Toscan on February 11, 1953.  He was the love of her life.  They celebrated 62 wonderful years together.

She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, playing cards, and going to lunch with the girls.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Michael (Patrick Whitmore) Toscan; daughters, Toni (Tim) Pales, Paula (Ken) Carman, and Tina (Ron) Sanchez; ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, infant son, John Phillip, and in-laws, Phillip and Anna Toscan.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jerry John and his staff at McKay-Dee Heart Failure Clinic and IHC Hospice for their outstanding care.
