Carolyn N Cue

September 18, 1943 — February 11, 2023

Carolyn N. Cue passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, in the comfort of her home with her loving son Jason and wonderful daughter-in-law Julie by her side.

She was born September 18, 1943, at the Ogden Dee Hospital to Elva Mae Jones and Richard C. Niemi.

Carolyn married the love of her life Gary Cue on December 18, 1959. They had two amazing sons, Jason (Julie) Cue and Jeffery Cue. Jeffery passed away in 1999 from cancer. She missed him dearly for the remainder of her years.

She worked for Winegar’s Grocery Store in the bakery department for many years, before going on to work in the office at the family business Clearfield Auto Parts with Gary. But her favorite job was always helping with her grandchildren.

Carolyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed all of the callings she had, but often spoke of her many years teaching Primary. She also loved being able to go visiting teaching.

Carolyn’s lifelong sweetheart Gary passed away in 2010 leaving her heartbroken. They were sealed in the Bountiful Utah Temple on November 11, 2011, like she had always dreamed of doing.

She always loved being Granny to her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was cherished by family and friends, and you always knew you could count on her for a smile when you saw her. She will be missed beyond words.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Jason and daughter-in-law, Julie; grandchildren, Brooke (Toby) Cann, Tyler Cue, and Nicolle (Mike) Underwood; and great-grandchildren, Kamylle Schultz (Austin Shelton), Kadence Underwood, Owen Merchant, and Oakley Merchant; sister, Machelle (Ken) Thornock; and sister, Kris (Lyle) Veibell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Cue; son, Jeffery Cue; mother, Elva Beck; father, Richard Niemi; father Earl Beck; brother, Kevin (Robin) Beck; and brother, Greg (Sam) Beck.

The family would like to extend a very sincere thank you to Hospice for Utah for the outstanding care that was given to Carolyn in her last days. A special thank you goes out to Carolyn’s daughter-in-law Julie as well for the love and care she provided for many years.

A private family gathering will be held at Clinton Cemetery for the dedication of the grave. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, please donate in Carolyn’s name to Primary Children’s Medical Center.
