Carolee Ann Walker Rogers

August 18, 1958 — May 26, 2025

Carolee Ann Walker Rogers, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, has passed away and has gone home. She was born on August 18, 1958, in Glendora, California, at Glendora Hospital, to Charles William Walker and Joanne Curtis.

Carolee was raised in Southern California and attended William Workman High School in the City of Industry. There, she made lifelong friendships and found joy in drill team—a reflection of her spirited and vibrant nature.

In 1979, she married Rollie Dale Rogers, and together they raised three devoted sons: Brad, Dale, and Clint. Carolee was deeply proud of her family and took immense joy in her role as a mother and later as a grandmother and great-grandmother. During her marriage, she also worked as an Electrician and helped with the family business.

Carolee’s professional life was marked by her warmth and ability to connect with others. She enjoyed several careers, but two stood out as her favorites—working as a hairdresser and later as a city bus driver for the Utah Transit Authority. At UTA, she found not only meaningful work but a second family among her colleagues. She cherished her time behind the wheel, taking the opportunity to learn about the lives of her passengers and offering comfort and kindness to those she met along the way.

She had a deep love for music, travel, her faith, and most of all, time spent with family and friends. Known for her infectious smile, laughter, and compassionate spirit, Carolee had a gift for making everyone feel seen and cared for. Her strength in the face of life’s challenges was a source of inspiration to all who knew her.

Carolee leaves behind a loving and extensive family: her sons Brad (Veronica), Dale (Brittany), and Clint (Elisa); grandchildren Scott (Cara), Lilly, Elias, Julia, and Lia; and great-grandchildren Adeline, Adam, Anthony, Raleigh, Jackson, Willow, Silas, Michael, Aubryanna, Peyton, and Taylor Ray.

She is also survived by her niece Jamie (Josh) and their children, Ashley, and Cory. And niece Christy; her nephew Matt (Sara) and their children, Wyatt and Sawyer; her uncle Art Curtis and his wife Shelly; many other extended family, and countless dear friends whom she considered family.

Carolee’s absence leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her. Her memory will live on in the stories we share, the lessons she taught, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Fly free with the angels, Mom. Our lives are forever changed without you. We will carry you with us always and strive to make you proud. Until we meet again.

Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.
