Carol Faye Wiechmann

Carol Faye Wiechmann, 77, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012. She was born in Hastings, Nebraska on November 13, 1934 to Wilbur David and Ella Christina Doll Powers. She grew up and attended schools in Nebraska.

She married Bernard Leigh Kaspari. He passed away in 1980. She married August Gerhard Wiechmann in 1986.

Carol was a member of the Catholic Church. She worked at Ogden Regional Medical Center for 43 years as a lab technician. She volunteered at the Union Station for 7 years. Carol was a very giving person especially to her children. She made the most exquisite and beautiful gingerbread houses. She spent many hours painting and crafting. The first time she went fishing with Augie, she caught the most fish. She also caught the largest fish of all their time together, a 4 lb. Kokanee Salmon. Augie and Carol loved traveling.

She was a fun, loving person who loved entertaining family and friends. Her family and friends brought her great joy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her husband, August; son, Brian (Pamela) Kaspari, Lake Villa, Illinois; daughters, Karen (Edward) Isaacs, Garland, Texas; and Kay (Kevin) Cymbalak, Tremonton, Utah; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; stepsons, Ashley (Janice) Wiechmann, Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Aric (Cindy) Wiechmann, South Ogden; stepdaughter, April (Bryan) Redd, Uintah; and brother, Paul (Faye) Powers.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard; parents; four sisters; and a brother.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Aric Wiechmann, 987 E. 5550 S., South Ogden (Emerald Hills Condos).

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.

The family would like to thank Mt. Ridge Assisted Living, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and Mt. Ogden Rehab Center for their compassionate care of Carol. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Benedicts Foundation, 6000 South 1075 East, Ogden, Utah 84405.
