Carol Jeannine (Boyce) Thomason

September 15, 1928 ~ September 26, 2021

Our loving and cheerful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was called home to the loving arms of her husband, Fred LeRoy Thomason, and her Heavenly Father on September 26, 2021.  Jeannine is a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of  Latte-day Saints which was shown daily by her kindness, charity, and strong faith.  She loved the Gospel and had a testimony of its truthfulness.

She was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on September 15, 1928, to George Preston Boyce and Alice Leona (Rowley).  She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Marguerite Rankin.  Her education began in Fort Hall, Idaho continuing in Tyhee, Idaho, and then she attended North Davis Junior High and Davis High School.  She met and married Fred in 1950 (the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple), they were married for over 50 years before his passing in 2006.

They traveled the country in their early marriage during his postings with the Navy and Marines.  Their family grew with the births of five children.  They lived Verdland Park in Layton before building a home in East Layton.

Jeannine served numerous church callings and was a den mother for the Cub Scouts.  Anytime there was a chance to play Bingo she was always first in line.  She loved parties and visiting; she could talk your ear off for hours.  During her golden years she spent many hours on road trips or just going for a drive, playing the penny slots and scratch tickets, and getting together with her F.A. N. club and Fun Bunch lunch clubs.

Jeannine is survived by her children; Julie Wright, Claudia Allred, Ross Thomason, Dan (Suszy)”Thomason, and Jared Thomason, her 12 grandchildren; Brent Burgi, Dylan Allred, Julie Marie Allred, Stephanee (Jarin) Smith, Rachel (Jacob) Taft, Jennifer McGarry, Sean (Dixie) Thomason, Joe (Chantel) Thomason, Candice (Ryan) Gibby, Ginger Lee Thomason, Jacob Thomason, and KayLee Thomason; 11 great-grandchildren and her siblings; Leon (Laura) Boyce, Sammy Asbury, and Don (Linda) Boyce.

The family thanks Francesca and Regie and Elevation Hospice providers for their kind care during Jeannine last days.

Also, thanks to Gina Anderson, and the Relief Society of the Adams Park Ward.
