On September 25, 1964, Carol married Douglas F. McKean in the Salt Lake City Temple, beginning a partnership built on love and faith. Together, they raised a family and enjoyed a life filled with cherished memories. Carol’s devotion to her family was unwavering, and she took great joy in her role as a mother to her daughters, Daylene Zachreson (Mark) and Kimberly Latchford (Kevin), grandma to Coby Zachreson (Kristen), Austin Latchford & Lexi Wardle (Jon) and great-grandma to Karter, Oaklee, Beck & Bryton Zachreson and Greylie Wardle. Her legacy continues through them and her loving relationships with her brothers, Paul Childs (Arletta) and Kirk Childs (Leslie), and her sisters, Peggy Bradshaw, Dawna Houskeeper (Craig) and Kerstine Fausett (Rusty).

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Carol found joy and purpose in her faith and built nurturing friendships with those around her.

Her creative spirit shone through in her hobbies, as she delighted in crafting, jewelry making, and crocheting, often creating beautiful pieces for her loved ones.

She is preceded in Death by her mom and dad, Rex and Carma Childs and her great grandson, Karter Zachreson. While her passing has left a void in the hearts of many, her spirit and the memories she created will forever be cherished.
