Carol Moyes Keesler Together Again

Our beautiful, angel mother and grandmother, Carol Moyes Keesler, passed away in the early morning hours of March 9, 2012.

Carol was the second child born to Hugh Jesse and Anafred Banford Moyes on October 26, 1928 in Logan, Utah.

Shortly after being born, the family moved to a beautiful home on Lincoln Avenue in Ogden, Utah where she lived for the next 16 years.

Mom attended the old "Pingree Elementary" school from kindergarten to 6th grade. She loved school and was an excellent student. Many of her school friends are her dear friends still.

She attended Lewis Jr. High and then Ogden High School, graduating in May of 1946. She had many friends who loved her for her gracious heart and kindness. She was respected and loved by many and was truly an example of enduring to the end. Mom always met her difficulties "head on" and solved each problem she ever encountered one by one.

Carol married William Mack Keesler on May 11, 1949 in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed to each other in the Ogden LDS Temple. Their children and spouses are: William Kim (Karen) Keesler, Debbi (Gary) Bailey, Pam (Gary) Smith, Kari Esper, Micky (Lynnette) Keesler, Daren Keesler, Evan (Debbie) Keesler. Mom was a wonderful, caring mother, who sacrificed her all for her family. We will treasure forever her willingness to always put her family first. She leaves behind 50 grandchildren, brothers, Jay (Ann) Moyes, and Larry (Sandy) Moyes, and sister, Elaine Fronk (Lester deceased).

Mom worked at the IRS as Branch Chief, where she always accepted new challenges with finesse, great determination, and diligence to succeed. Upon her retirement on November 30, 1990 they expressed that they were losing a pioneer because mom always was one to plow new ground and establish goals that would not be easily replaced or forgotten.

Mom had a testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ and His Atoning Sacrifice. She loved serving as a Visiting Teacher in her ward and bringing hope and peace to all she knew and loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill and her parents, Hugh and Anafred.

We would like to thank everyone at the Mountain Ridge Assisted Living for the wonderful love and kindness they gave to our mother this past year. We would also like to thank Advocate Hospice for their unconditional, caring service, in helping out mother these past few months.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
