Listen to Obituary

Calum “Kira” Bostrom, 25, passed away on March 8, 2026, in Roy, Utah. Cal was born on January 31, 2001, and lived in South Weber, Utah. He brought light, laughter, and kindness to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Cal was a deeply compassionate and caring person who had a rare gift for connecting with others. Whether it was a close friend or someone he had just met, Cal made people feel important and valued. He was known for remembering the small details—like addressing a waiter or waitress by name—and for going out of his way to make people smile. His sense of humor and natural ability to make others laugh made him someone people were drawn to. Cal had a quick wit and loved making people laugh, often lightening the mood and bringing joy to those around him. He lived with creativity, warmth, and a genuine love for the people around him.

Cal enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing Dungeons & Dragons, gaming, spending time with his friends, playing the guitar, and golfing with his dad. Some of his favorite moments were spent outdoors, laughing with friends, and sharing meaningful time with the people he loved most.

One of Cal’s proudest accomplishments was becoming a Certified Gunsmith, a certification he worked hard for and was incredibly proud to achieve.

Cal is survived by his parents, Richard Eric Bostrom and Samantha Bostrom; his stepmother, Taylor Bostrom, stepfather, Bill Aldous; his sister, Ava Bostrom, and two younger siblings; his grandparents, Karen Kennedy, Ameilia Leighton, Ben Leighton, Bill Pike, and Jeffanne Pike; and his aunt and uncle, James Pike and Linda Pike; along with many extended family members and friends who loved him deeply.

Family Farewell to honor Cal’s life will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.

Cal will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and the way he made people feel seen and valued. His absence leaves an unimaginable space in the hearts of those who loved him, but his laughter and the love he shared will never be forgotten.
