Brian Phillip Leseberg

January 20, 1972 — January 21, 2024

On Sunday, January 21, 2024, Brian Phillip Leseberg, beloved son, brother, and uncle sadly left this world surrounded by his loved ones. Brian was born on January 20, 1972, in Ogden, Utah and was the third of four children, Jennifer, Mark and Jackie. He is also the uncle to five nieces and nephews, Andrew Matthews, Audrey Matthews, Sky Frandsen, Chloe Leseberg, and Owen Leseberg. He loved being an uncle and had nicknames for all of his nieces and nephews and would often babysit them when they were little.

Brian graduated from Ogden High School; he had a passion for the theater participating in several plays and deeply enjoyed art, especially drawing and pottery. He was an avid reader who favored the Sunday Comics, Star Wars, Star Trek and all kinds of comic books. He was interested in all things space and spent many a night as a teenager looking out into the stars with his telescope. He loved animals including all kinds of snakes and reptiles, but mostly he loved his black lab, Tessa. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and boating, but loved swimming; in fact, his mom would have to plead with him to come out of the water. He liked the movie Jaws and snorkeling with his siblings and cousins at Twin Lakes/Flaming Gorge/Lake Powell; swimming up beneath us and pulling us under then swimming off to the theme song…those infamous two beats.

He was a hard worker his whole life; early on he worked at Ligori’s Pizza and Pasta and he loved working there as much as he loved the pizza and meatball subs. He was dedicated to his work at the Draper IFA since 2017 and loved his second family there; he spoke often of them and enjoyed every day of work, never complaining.

Brian always put others ahead of himself. He moved in with his parents to help with his ailing father and then stayed on to continue to take care of his mother. He hated having his photo taken, but he loved taking photos and was often our videographer at Christmas. He would do anything his mother asked….eventually.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bert; and survived by his mother, George Anna Leseberg; sisters, Jennifer Leseberg (Clint) and Jackie Leseberg (Matthew); and his older brother, Mark Leseberg (Kris).

Brian will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
