OGDEN - Brent LeRoy Morriss, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2025, surrounded by family. Brent was born on June 9, 1961, to Faye Saunders and Duane LeRoy Morriss.
After graduating high school, Brent proudly joined the United States Marine Corps, where he honorably served for 13 years. During his service, Brent was stationed at several locations around the world. He worked as a TracVehicle Repairman, and later as a Recruiter dedicating himself both to his fellow marines and to inspiring the next generation to serve. Brent joined the Defense Logistics Agency - Hill AFB and later retired.
Brent married Joyce Clark on June 4, 1982, in the Ogden LDS Temple. They were blessed with six sons. Even after their divorce, Brent took great pride in being a father and remained devoted to his children.
He cherished time spent with his family, whether it was camping under the stars, enjoying days outdoors or target shooting together. Some of his happiest moments were those shared with his children and grandchildren who brought him immense joy. He loved making memories with them and took every opportunity to be present in their lives.
Brent had a deep love for scouting and dedicated many years to mentoring both youth and fellow leaders leaving a lasting impact on countless lives through his guidance, encouragement, and example.
Brent is survived by his six sons, Jason (Adrianne), Kevin (Bonnie), Keith, Glenn (Kara), Brian, and Gregg (Rosie); and 18 grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Alan (Fran), Steven, Angie (Ken), Cheryl, and Julie (Scott). He was preceded in death by his parents, Duane and Faye; brother, David; stepmother, Nola; nephew Michael; and daughter-in-law, Kami.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ogden City Cemetery.
