Beverly Jeane Weaverling, Born December 8, 1928 in Long Beach, CA.
Passed away quietly from Cancer on January 24th, 2012 at Barton Creek Assisted Living in Bountiful UT.
Bev was a gal who never sat still for long, unless it was at the bridge table. She wedged a number of careers between bridge games, as a Teacher, a Realtor and along with her husband Al, ran the Shooting Star Saloon.
After retiring from the Shooting Star they traveled to places they always wanted to go, and were able to fit in even more bridge. Bev and Al made quite the pair and would wow everyone on the dance floor.
Bev graduated from Canoga Park High School, in Canoga Park, California and then went to Riverside Jr. College in Riverside, California where she met Al (of course over the bridge table).
Later on she got her bachelor''s degree at the University of California at Riverside. Bev and Al were married in Las Vegas, NV in April of 1949. They became the proud parents of a daughter in 1962.
Over the years they lived in Riverside, CA, Torrance, CA, Albany, OR and finally in Ogden, UT.
Bev will be greatly missed by her Daughter Carroll Weaverling-Bowery (West Bountiful,UT), Son-in-law Michael Bowery, Sister-in-law Barbara McElrath (Oakland,CA), Nieces Sara, Jane, Lissa, Nephew Don and the many dear friends she made over her 83 years. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband Al, parents Ruth Carroll Winsler, Everett Winsler, and Floyd Underwood.
Mom...I hope you and Dad are taking a spin on the great dance floor in the sky.
No services were held at Mom''s request. Care entrusted to Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
