On November 6, 2025, Beverly “Bev” Tubbs Orstrom passed away at her home surrounded by her loved ones on both sides of the veil. The weeks leading up to her death were focused on her family and re-uniting with the love of her life Dean Orstrom who had preceded her in death on March 7, 2025.
Bev was born on April 7, 1948, to Thurman and Leah Tubbs. She was raised in Roy,Utah and was part of the first graduating class from Roy High School.
On Aug 19, 1966, at the age of 18 she married the love of her life Dean. During the 59 years they shared together they were blessed with four children, Heidi, Holly, Jeff, and Heather, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bev was an artist from the beginning and found great joy and satisfaction in painting and ceramics. As you first walked in the door you were met by “the hutch” that was filled with ceramic Santa’s all of which were made and painted by Bev. Her love of the holidays and holiday décor was passed on to her children and grandchildren.
Other hobbies included bowling, fishing, baking, camping, music, puzzles, word searches, Broncos football, Jazz basketball and any activity involving her kids and grandkids. Spending time with her family was a major priority in her life as she hosted countless dinners and family events. She was always the first to make sure that everyone was taken care of and felt loved. Her ability to love and make everyone feel important were some of her most cherished attributes. This is one of the reasons “Grandma Sweet” will forever be cherished and missed.
Bev is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her brother Kevin, and her sisters Marilyn, Annette and Nancy. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
The last few months of her life were a challenge for her, but Maggie her IHC Hospice nurse was amazing, and others involved with her care helped her to transition peacefully and in the comfort of her own home constantly surrounded by loved ones.
We will forever be thankful for those that cared for and assisted her during this time.
