Beverly Huss Alberts, 98, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, September 26, 2022. She was born in Ogden, Utah, on June 27, 1924, the daughter of Claude Earnest and Marie Zelda Walker Huss. She was raised, attended school and spent her whole life in the Ogden area.

She married Stanley George Alberts on September 6, 1941 in Ogden, Utah. They celebrated their 72^nd Wedding Anniversary before Stanley’s passing on May 22, 2014.

Beverly enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling. She took pleasure in fishing with her family at Flaming George. Her family was her pride and joy. She was active in the Riverside Ladies Golfing Association and Hilltop Lanes bowling leagues.

Beverly is survived by her sons, Kurt E. Alberts (Jan) of Ogden, Gary K. Alberts (Geri) of North Ogden, and Brent D. Alberts (Sonia) of West Point; 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; son, Ricky J. Alberts (Eileen); parents; sister, Dorothy Huss Hoff; brother, Val Huss; and brother, Gene Huss.

Beverly has experienced a full life;  persevering the poverty of life during The Great Depression; the anxiety and fear of World War II as her husband, Stanley’s invasion fleet progressed through North Africa, Europe, the Pacific islands, and ending as an occupation force on the island of Japan.  War was not done with Beverly when her oldest son was sent to fight in the Vietnam War.  Fortunately, Beverly’s  next fifty years were more peaceful and happy camping and traveling with family and spoiling her 38 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
