Betty May Cragun Udy

April 15, 1936 ~ October 25, 2021

Betty May Cragun Udy, 85, returned to her husband’s loving arms on Monday, October 25, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 15, 1936, the daughter of William Arthur and Mamie Elvira Miller Cragun. She was born, raised, and spent her entire life in Ogden, Utah.

On July 23, 1953, Betty married Neil S. Udy in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on August 22, 1981.  Neil passed away on May 26, 2012.

Betty enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and handling the house so dad could work. She could fix anything and had amazing flower beds. Mom took pleasure in supporting her girls in Young Womens and made it her mission to make sure her grandchildren went to Disneyland. Her love for her family was everything. She loved sewing, roller skating, camping, and fishing; she out fished Neil all the time. Mom also had a desire to return to Hawaii.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Deborah (James) Hicks, Brenda (Angie) Udy, and Gaylynn (Cory) Lott; and 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen, Lloyd, Bill, and Larry; and sisters, Beverly and Darlene.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.
