Betty Diann Christensen

October 4, 1941 — December 21, 2022

Betty Diann Christensen, age 81, died in her home peacefully on December 21, 2022 due to incidences of old age.

Diann was born on October 4, 1941 in Ogden, Utah to her parents Edward and Edith Peterson. She had one sibling, her dear brother Roger Peterson. She was raised and educated in Ogden, Utah. She married and later divorced Ralph Rivera and they have one child, Shellie Jensen. She later married Sharm Christensen and they enjoyed a 48 year long marriage until his passing in 2018. She was blessed with stepsons Greg Christensen and Jeff Christensen.

Diann was the epitome of class and glamor. She had a knack for making everything she touched more beautiful. She loved fashion and worked in the industry her whole career. She worked at Bueler Bingham in Ogden early on and later worked as a buyer for ZCMI. She retired from retail in 1988 and then pursued her second love and career in music. She was a professional organist for Lindquist Mortuaries for many years. She also has many music callings in her church.

Diann loved her family and spending time with them was her purpose. After her father retired, they spent many hours together until his passing. Diann enjoyed years of memories with her dear mother Edith after her mother relocated to live down the street from her. They did almost everything together. Diann considered her most precious gift to be her children and her grandchildren. She loved having “adventures” with them and spoiling them.

Diann is preceded in death by her parents, Edith and Eddie, and her husband Sharm. She is survived by her brother Roger (Cathy) Peterson, She is also survived by her daughter Shellie Diann (Todd) Jensen, granddaughter Stephanie Diann Jensen, and grandson Trevor (Brooklynn) Jensen. She is survived by Greg (Susan) Christensen, Jeff Christensen and their children Matt Christensen, Haley Dutson, James Christensen, Danielle Christensen, and Christopher Christensen.
