Bertha Darlene Burt Stoddard

February 5, 1933 — June 27, 2024

Darlene attended schools in Brigham City, graduating from Box Elder High School in 1951. After high school, she attended Weber College and graduated with an associate degree in 1953.

She married William J. Stoddard September 16, 1953 in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logan Temple. They were married for 30 years before his death on November 27, 1983. Their children and spouses are William and Lauren Stoddard, Paul and Susan Stoddard, Nancy and Blaine Holmes, James and Gaye Stoddard, MariAnn and Scott Wright, and Julie Stoddard and Tina Colby. Darlene is survived by her children, her 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, Brian Burt.

Darlene worked at Bell Photographers for 30 years, printing photos and seeing many advancements in photography. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, most often conducting music. She is remembered as a talented singer who loved music, and a frequent attendee of Utah Symphony and musical theater performances.

She loved spending time with her family and the special friends she called the “Lunch Bunch” and “Eternal Buddies.” Darlene led a long and full life and most cherished her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother.
