Bernice Bambrough Greene, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, March 22, 2012. Bernice was born March 10, 1918 in Syracuse, Utah to Willard Matthew Bambrough and Adelina Victoria Hakenson. She was the second of nine children.

Bernice married Morris Greene on October 10, 1937 in Ogden, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Morris preceded her in death in 1982.

Bernice''s life has always been characterized by service to others and a constant need to always be busy. She and Morris lived in many places including Ogden, Riverdale Idaho, Woodruff and Corinne, but it was in Draper Utah where they found a place that they would always call home. For many years Bernice served as a 4-H leader in Draper and her girls still remember those days fondly even after 50 years.

Bernice was a talented seamstress, working professionally for Mode-do-day and later for several years at Levoy''s where she developed many dear friendships. Quilting was her passion and even in her last few years she continued to make quilts and crochet doilies, giving them away as fast as she could make them.

Her greatest love of all was for her Savior Jesus Christ. After Morris'' death, she fulfilled a full time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Houston Texas. Later she spent many years as an ordinance worker at the Jordan River Temple. Always faithful, she will forever be a great example to those who knew her.

She is survived by her four children, Willard (Nickey), Jolene Mitchell (John), Charlotte and Bennett (Ranae), sisters, Gladys Barnes and Ina Williams and brothers, Gordon and Paul. Brothers Nuel and Clark and sister, Louise have also preceded her in death. She has 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. She is also preceded in death by her grandson George.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mount Mahogany 5th Ward Chapel 1541 N. 1300 W. Pleasant Grove, Utah. There will be a viewing Thursday evening at the same building from 6-8 p.m. and prior to the service from 9-10:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Syracuse City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the LDS Church Missionary Fund would be appreciated. Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
