Barbara Jean Bodily Norseth

Barbara Jean Bodily Norseth, age 81, of Roy reunited with family and friends in Heaven on April 8, 2026. She is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, laughter, and heartfelt connections.

Barbara was born February 28, 1945, to Myron and Ruth Bodily as one of four children. After attending the first graduating class of Clearfield High School, she attended Weber State College before deciding to pursue a career at the Ogden Internal Revenue Service where she retired as the Section Chief of Notice Analysis.

She married William “Bill” Norseth in 1969, gaining a son in K.C. Four years later, in 1973, they completed their family with the arrival of their daughter, Lori.

Barbara enjoyed, and had quite a talent, for paracord braiding and folding dollar bills into hearts and animals, creating items that brought smiles to everyone. Whether through her generous little gifts or her conversations, Barbara found ways to connect with others and make them feel valued.

Above all, Barbara loved being around people. She had a joke to lighten any situation and a natural gift for making others laugh and feel at ease. She will be deeply missed by all who had the opportunity to know her.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Lori (Ed) Brophy of Plain City; son, K.C. (Judy) Norseth of Kaysville; brother, Grant (Judy) Bodily, Roger (Cathy) Bodily; 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; grandson, Mac; sister, Carol Ann; brother-in-law, Jerry; and parents, Myron and Ruth.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Ensight Home Healthcare for their devoted care of mom for her last 6 months. We also want to thank Independence Hospice for their care.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held on Friday April 17, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Country Weddings and Events, 3051 South 5100 West, Hooper, Utah Arrangements entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
