Barbara June Brunson Lykins

Barbara June Brunson Lykins, 89, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025. She was born on June 13, 1935, to Thomas Reddin and Gladys Parrish Brunson in Crestview, Florida.

Barbara graduated High School in 1952 in Destin, Florida. She has been a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since June of 1954, and served in various callings.

Barbara married William J. Edgington Sr. on January 21, 1954, together they had 5 children, they later divorced. She later married Randie W. Lykins, they were later sealed in the Orlando Temple.

Barbara enjoyed doing needlepoint, reading and doing puzzles. She also loved doing genealogy and discovering her family's history and better understanding her ancestral roots. Above all else, she loved her family, she was so proud of her children and grandchildren and loved boasting about them. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Randie W. Lykins; children, Randy (Jan) Edgington, Greg (Janie) Edgington, Sherri Edgington, Angie Edgington, Jodi (Matt) Harwood, Teri Lykins, and Brenda (Matt) Cox; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reddin and Gladys Brunson; sisters, Olivia Mennillo and Jo Swanson; sons, Billy Edgington and Robbie Lynch; and grandsons, Joshua Bonham, Jonah Galvan and Jason Wadman.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. Friends may visit with family on Monday prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, West Weber Cemetery.
