Barbara Yvonne Johnson

1934 ~ 2021

Barbara Yvonne Johnson, 86, of Kaysville, Utah, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2021, of natural causes.

Barbara was born in Memphis, Texas on Oct 16, 1934, to Wilbur Ash and Kathryn McKnight.  She was raised by Wilbur’s second wife Irene Waggoner. She graduated from Odessa High School and continued on to pursue a career in nursing attending Stanton Nursing School.

Barbara was married to Donald Johnson on August 4, 1956.

Barbara was a dedicated and loved being a military spouse living throughout the United States.

Barbara is survived by children, Diana Newton (Richard), David Johnson (Terrie) and Clifford Johnson, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Her sisters Dot Brashear (Chris) and Lynn Risinger and brother, “Dub” Ash (Darlene), and other family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, brother James Ash, sister Nancy Hyde (King) and husband Donald.

The family of Barbara wishes to thank the staff of Apple Tree Assisted Living and Bristol Hospice for their loving care of our mother in her final days.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.   She will be laid to rest next to her husband and best friend Donald.
