Barbara Anderson Ence

Barbara Anderson Ence passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the age of 92.

She was born on September 28, 1919 in Sigurd, Utah, the oldest of eight children born to Floyd Bernadot and Leda May Anderson. She married J Harold Ence on April 12, 1941 at her home in Sigurd. Their marriage was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Barbara was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lived in the Kaysville Third Ward for 56 years and had many wonderful friends. She enjoyed working in the MIA as well as the Relief Society. She really loved going to the Temple. She spent as much time as possible working in her yard. She loved the outdoors and was always happy when at the farm in Sigurd with her brother, meandering through the trees at Fish Lake or looking for arrowheads with her brothers and sisters out in the desert.

Barbara and Harold were the parents of five children: Marilyn (Max Simpson), Kathryn (Glade Wiser), J Randall Ence, Peggy (Wayne Brough), Steven (Shirley) Ence. At the time of her passing she had 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her children and grandchildren were the delight of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, son Randy, her mother and father, one brother and four sisters. What a great reunion she is having.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Central Stake Center, 555 North 100 West (Fairfield Road) Kaysville, Utah. Friends may visit family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.

The family would like to thank her many friends at Pheasant View Assisted Living and Hospice of Utah. They took such loving care of her. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the LDS Church General Temple Patron Fund.
