Austin Lee Brooks

March 25, 1998 — February 12, 2023

On February 12, 2023 the world lost some of it’s light and a lot of it’s joy. Austin Lee Brooks left us all on that day. His incredible strength and courage enabled him to fight past all expectations, outliving every “he won’t make it to…” that came his way. He got to see his son born, enjoy the holidays, and prove he was tough beyond imagining.

His life may have been cruelly short but he made every effort to fill it with laughter, love, experiences, friends and family. He lived more while he was here than many do that live decades longer. Anyone who was blessed enough to have him in their lives was richer for it. His love and humor will always echo in the hearts of those that knew him best. Whether it was while he was going to school to graduate from Roy High School, working with him, especially with King HVAC where he stayed until the end, rushing to help anyone he could, or just being the son, husband, and friend that only he could be. He had an abundance of passion and energy that he tried to share with anyone and everyone as well as through his numerous pastimes, including music, cars, motorcycles, hunting, fishing, lakes, mountains, movies, video games, traveling, spending time with his wife, family, friends and dogs. He was a builder, he built commercial HVAC, he built lifelong relationships, he built a family, he built a reputation, he built a legacy of love and laughs. The immense chasm he leaves behind in the hearts of those he knew will never be filled but will always whisper “I love you.”

He was preceded by his grandparents, Steve and Mary Brooks and great-grandfather, Darold Fielding, who have the distinct honor of welcoming him home.

He is survived by his wife, Dalenna Brooks, son, Jasper Brooks, parents, Steven Brooks and Danielle Brooks, grandparents, Dave and Julia Fielding, step-grandfather, Carl Pace, siblings, Michael Christiansen, Paydence Brooks, Kage Brooks, Eli Brooks, Cheyenne Nasimok, Savanna Brooks, many cousins, aunts, uncles, and innumerable friends. You earned your rest.

A viewing will take place at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W 5600 S Roy UT 84067, on Sunday, February 19, 2023  from 4-6 p.m.
