Arden L. (Whitey) Sandall

Arden Lee Sandall, 88, passed away after a short illness on February 1, 2012 in the Davis Hospital and Medical Center. He was the last surviving child of Joseph Hyrum and Estella J. Robinson Sandall. He was born on April 10, 1923 in Richfield, Utah. He lived in Kaysville, Utah for most of his life, and in Clearfield at the time of his death.

He graduated from Davis High School and served in the United States Army in field artillery. On July 22, 1943, he married Joan Weaver in Kaysville, Utah. They were later divorced. From this marriage were born six children.

He worked as a machinist and as a supervisor of the machine shop at Hill Air Force Base at the time of his retirement. He was an expert metal and wood worker. He could build anything and was always eager to help anyone, if they were willing to listen to his jokes and comments on life.

He is survived by his children Terry Sandall, Dell, Montana; Tim (Shelley), Kemmerer, Wyoming; Lee Ann (Gene) Ferguson, San Antonio, Texas; Dawn Ellen Sandall, Kaysville; Peggy Ann Sandall, San Antonio, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

His parents, nine brothers, four sisters and his son Ted preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held Monday, February 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main. Friends may visit family on Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the mortuary.

A special thank you to John, Linda, Bob and Joe for all of the years of friendship you gave to dad and to the doctors and nurses for the excellent treatment he received at Davis Hospital and Medical Center.
