Ardella Burraston Cloward "Grandma Della" 1918 - 2007

KAYSVILLE a€" Our loving wife, mother and grandmother returned home to a loving Heavenly Father and a special son on May 25, 2007.

Ardella was born on January 25, 1918 in Goshen, Utah, the youngest of 11 children of Richard James and Martha Steele Burraston. She was raised in Goshen, Utah, and graduated from Payson High School where she met her lifetime sweetheart, Howard. They were married on December 30, 1934 in Nephi, Utah, and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been together for 72-1/2 wonderful years.

They moved to Kaysville in 1944 where she was very active in church and community affairs. She was voted Kaysville "Mother of the Year" in 2005.

If you need a definition of service, it is Ardella. Her life has been spent helping and doing for others, family, friends and neighbors. She has been very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren attending games, recitals and was always there for support. Her fun personality always kept the kids laughing. Her cookie jar was always full.

She took great joy in her family and her goal has been to keep her family together, and she accomplished this with her love, care and concern.

She is survived by her husband, Howard, two sons and a daughter: Sherman H (Connie), Fruit Heights; Curtis Ray, Bethesda, Maryland; Loraine Bourne (Dick), daughter-in-law, Reta Cloward, Kaysville; many nieces and nephews, 20 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son Kenneth Lee, her parents, three brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Rock Chapel, Second East and Center Street, Kaysville. Friends and family may call Tuesday, May 29, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service.

Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
