Anton "Tony" Joseph Radman Jr

Anton (Tony) J. Radman, Jr.

April 1952 to March 2012

Tony Radman, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and uncle passed away due to heart failure March 19, 2012. He passed doing one of the things he cherished most in life besides his family; he was skiing in fresh powder. Tony was born in Rock Springs, WY April, 1952 and shortly thereafter moved to Lander, WY where he grew up with his devoted parents, Tony and Linda, and two caring sisters Cathi and Mary.

Tony attended the University of WY from 1970 to 1974 on a skiing scholarship and later on a full ride scholarship from Schlumberger. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Mechanical Engineering degree, the first student to successfully do so with a 4.0 GPA.

Tony was recruited by IBM from college and worked in R&D in their General Products division, working on disc drives. In September, 1974, Tony married Renee Niethammer from Casper, WY. They both spent six years with IBM moving from Boulder, CO to Tucson, AZ, and in 1980, they resigned from IBM to help start Iomega Corporation with a group of esteemed individuals. In 1980, Tony relocated to Utah with Iomega where, over the course of nearly 20 years, he held several significant executive positions at the company. He chaired the committee that developed the strategy to engineer Iomega''s growth from $100 million in sales to over $1 billion in two years (the fastest in the history of American business). He is credited with nearly every major international Iomega strategic partnership, and still holds numerous patents.

Despite all of his business success, the greatest blessing in Tony''s life came with the birth of his two sons A. J. and Shawn. Tony was a devoted father who taught his sons all the life skills they would need, and bestowed upon them the courage to face all of life''s challenges.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Renee, his parents Linda and Tony Radman Sr, his two sons, AJ and Shawn, his sisters, Cathi Hollins (Eric), and Mary Sanderson (Mark), and many nieces and nephews. Tony''s family has had the privilege of being part of his generous life; a life filled with the legacy of humility, humanity, humor, and fun.

Celebratory-Mass will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1100 East 5550 South, Ogden, UT, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 10 a.m. with reception to follow immediately. Additional services will be held in Lander, WY this summer.

Services entrusted to Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
