Anna L. Colvin Hampton Carver, 79, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at her home in Roy.

She was born March 7, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, a daughter of John F. and Mary Myrtle Cunningham Colvin.

Anna married Lloyd H. Hampton on October 12, 1948 in Elko, Nevada. Anna and Lloyd adopted her great-nephew and great-niece, Mark Christopher and Marianna Denice. They were married for 23 years before his death on September 7, 1971. She married Kenneth O. Carver on October 30, 1975 in the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Ogden. He died April 16, 1997, after 22 years of marriage.

Anna graduated from Ogden High School in 1945. She also attended Weber College for two years.

She was a "cradle" at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd in Ogden. She was also a Sunday School Teacher, treasurer of the Women''s Board, and served on the Alter Guild.

Anna was employed at NSD in Clearfield and then transferred to Hill Air Force Base. She retired after 17 years of service. She returned to working seasonally for the Internal Revenue Service for four years.

She was past President of the AMVET Auxiliary, the Ogden De Molay Parents Club, Utah De Molay Parents Club and the LOE Golden Spike #719 of Roy. Anna loved the involvement of decorating for parties at the Elks. It was her home away from home for many years.

Surviving are her son, Mark, Richmond, VA; daughter Marianna and granddaughter Schalze Ann Hampton, both of Roy; step-children Kay Davenport, Tooele; Jone Miera, Ogden; Deanne Baker, CA; Sandra Bingham, Layton; Debbie Carver, Layton; and Danny Carver, Roy.

Memorial services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 2374 Grant Ave., Ogden.

Inurnment, Aultorest Memorial Park.
