Angela Ruth Walling Morris, better known as Angie, passed away due to a tragic fight with lung cancer on January 9, 2026, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Angie was born on February 16, 1973, to her parents Jerry and Carol Walling. She was the youngest of four children. Angie was born and raised in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Bonneville High School in 1991. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Weber State University.
Angie owned her own Support Coordination business and worked alongside her daughter, Bailee. Together they worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities. This was her calling in life. She loved the individuals she worked with like they were her own family.
She was the most selfless, kind and caring person. She never said anything bad or negative about anyone. She was always positive and upbeat about everything.
Angie married her first husband, Brad Gibson, in June of 1996. Together they had two beautiful children, Bailee and Connor. They later divorced.
She then met the love of her life, Mathew Tim Morris. They married on April 16, 2004. Mathew brought two additional children, Joshua and Carson into Angies life. Angie may have technically been Joshua and Carson’s “Stepmother” but to them she was their mom.
Angie and Mathew had Drake together, completing their family. Angie always said she wasn’t going to have a big family but somehow ended up with a family of seven. She loved her family more than anything.
In 2016, Mathew adopted Bailee and Connor, officially becoming their dad.
Angie tragically lost the love of her life Mathew in September of 2016. After his death she adopted a puppy. Her name is Ember and she became Angies new love of her life. She often joked and would call Ember her “Life Partner” because she was adamant that she was never going to get married again and all she needed was Ember. The only tattoo that Angie ever got was of Embers paw print.
Angie was the best grandma to her two grandchildren, Mathew Chester Morris and Alexandria Drake Morris. She loved them more than anything and they loved their “GaMa” more than anything.
Angie loved Disney Cruises, they were the only vacations she wanted to go on. She was able to go on her last Disney Cruise in October 2025 with her mom, daughter, two sons, and sister. On this cruise she had officially reached the Platinum Castaway Club Level. She was so proud of this and could not wait to continue to use her platinum status on her future cruises.
On December 1, 2025, Angie received the devastating news that she had a very aggressive form of stage 4 lung cancer. This took her and her family by complete surprise. She decided to fight the cancer. She started chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and radiation in late December 2025. After starting treatment Angie became extremely sick, which is common with chemotherapy. However, she developed an infection because her immune system was depleted. Angie fought for her life; she gave everything she could. She was so strong all the way to the end. She passed surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Angie is survived by her five children, Bailee and Logan Lindeman, Joshua and Kayla Morris, Connor Morris, Carson Morris and Drake Morris; her two grandchildren, Mathew Chester Morris (3) and Alexandria Drake Morris (1); her mother, Carol White Walling; and siblings, Cathy Connelly, Craig Connelly and Carin Davis. Angie was preceded in death by her husband, Mathew Tim Morris and father, Jerry Linton Walling.

In lieu of flowers please donate money to The Lung Cancer Research Foundation to help find a cure for the awful thing that took Angie away from us all too early. We do not know why Angie developed Lung Cancer. Her doctors could not give us an answer to why either. So please donate, so that we can help cure and prevent this for other people in the future. https://www.lungcancerresearchfoundation.org/
We love you mom, love your kids.
