Listen to Obituary

Angela Ruby (Lusk) Johnson, lovingly known as Angie, passed away on March 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 1, 1976, in Ogden, Utah, to Craig Lusk and Kathrin Neumeyer.

Angie was a woman of remarkable intelligence, creativity, and heart. In the early years of her life, she put her brilliant mind to work in the IT field, where her curiosity and problem-solving abilities served her well. Outside of work, she found joy in life’s simple and meaningful things. She had a deep love for animals, children, crafting, and music—passions that reflected her gentle and creative spirit. Angie was also known for her quick wit and sense of humor, and those who knew her will remember her infectious laugh that could brighten a room and bring smiles to those around her.

Like many people, Angie faced difficult struggles throughout her life, including a battle with addiction. Her journey was not always easy, but it was one marked by resilience and a heart that never stopped caring for others. Those who knew Angie understood that she was far more than the challenges she faced. She was thoughtful, creative, and deeply human, doing her best to navigate life’s hardships.

Angie was the mother of four children, Parker Lusk, Dylan Lusk, Tess Lusk, and Bella Lusk. They were an important part of her life, and she carried love for them throughout the many chapters of her journey.

Angie was previously married to James Pisel. Later in life, she met and married Daniel Johnson. Although their paths eventually led them in different directions, they both believed they had found a soulmate in each other. Over the years they remained the closest of friends, continuing to care deeply for one another.

Angie is survived by her children, Parker Lusk, Dylan Lusk, Tess Lusk, and Bella Lusk; her father, Craig Lusk; her sisters, Heather (Raymond) Burton, Emily (Mike) Lusk, Anne (Chad) Jensen, and Sarah (Dave) Knight; her brothers, Tom (Joy) Hughes and Don Hughes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathrin Neumeyer; her stepmother, Patricia Lusk; her grandparents, Willis and Elizabeth Neumeyer and Glen and Ruby Lusk; and her aunt, Cindy Neumeyer.

Angie will be remembered for her sharp mind, creative soul, humor, and the love she carried for her family. Her life reminds us that every person’s story holds both struggle and beauty, and that compassion matters. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and cared for her.
