Andrew “Ace” Ackerman

March 27, 1981 ~ October 14, 2022

Andrew “Ace” Ackerman, 41, of Ogden, UT, passed away on October 14, 2022 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on March 27, 1981 to Bonnie Stoker and Andrew Ackerman in Ogden, UT. He grew up in Riverdale and attended Bonneville High School. From a young age, Ace played a variety of sports and was a talented athlete. He loved watching sports with his dad and became a beloved lifetime fan of the Chicago Bears. Bear Down! You could always find him watching football, the Utah Jazz and his LA Dodgers.

Ace grew up camping with his family and found a love for fishing. His happy place was casting a line. He enjoyed fishing the banks with his mom, walking the river with his brother-in-law Jeff and catching the big ones up at Flaming Gorge with his sister Angie and brother-in-law Casey. The Uintah Mountains also held a special place for Ace.  Making memories with his family and friends was such a joy to him. He had a smile and charm that made you feel special. His humor, sometimes inappropriate, just made you want more. All that knew him, loved being around him.

His daughter Kali was the light in his eye. They had many fun times being goofy and just playing. She was his purpose, and she will forever know the amazing dad he was to her. His mom was his biggest fan. They were best friends and would enjoy shopping together, a good meal and just all over quality time. His sisters will never forget the fun times at the horse races, hanging out watching football, and just spending time being together. It didn’t matter what we did there was always laughter.

Ace worked throughout his life doing this and that. He was last employed with Malnove Inc. of Utah as a Machine Operator. He made many friends along the way, and they all made an impact and was a huge support through his journey.

Ace is survived by his daughter, Kali; mother, Bonnie (Jim) Winder; his sister, Angie (Casey) Barney; sister, Bree Gittins; sister, Amy (Jeff) Cummings; stepbrother, James (Brittni) Krstich; nephews, Kaleb (Brandy) Copenhaver, Asher and Ayden Martinez, Ty Gittins and Jace Cummings; nieces, Halle Gittins, Devyn Egbert and Brooklyn Cummings; aunts, uncles and many cousins that loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his dad, Andrew Ackerman; nephew, Jaxon Egbert; brother-in-law, Daren Gittins and grandparents.

The Ackerman Family would like to give sincere thanks to Chris and Katie Lindley for all of their love and support of Ace and his baby girl Kali; all his friends he made over the years in recovery, you know who you are. You made a difference, and your love and compassion does not go unnoticed.
