Andréa Elizabeth Greenwell Prevo

April 28, 1973 — June 21, 2024

Andréa Prevo, 51, of Ogden, UT, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, after a long battle with ovarian cancer.

Andréa was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 28, 1973, to Scott L. and Deborah A. Pommer Greenwell. She attended schools in Lincoln, NE, and Ogden, UT, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1991. She subsequently attended Weber State University and paid for her education by working as a department manager at Nordstrom. Andréa received a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Technical Sales.

She married Aaron P. Prevo on August 10, 2002, in Park City, UT. Andréa and Aaron chose to start their family in Ogden, UT, so they could be close to extended family. Andréa raised four beautiful daughters, Addison Elizabeth Prevo (20), Mira Noelle Prevo (17), Ava Elaine Chun Xia Prevo (15), and Emerson Aerin Prevo (15). Andréa loved trips with her family to Southern California where they would spend time at Disneyland, days on the beach at Crystal Cove State Park, and warm evenings in Newport Beach. Any place with her girls and Aaron was her favorite place to be.

Andréa was a force of nature who lived life on her own terms. She was beautiful with an impeccable sense of style, but was best known for her fierce dedication to her family and her commitment to social justice; advocating for women’s rights, equality in education and medical care. Although she was fierce in her beliefs, she had a warm and compassionate heart, frequently helping people without them knowing their benefactor.

Andréa loved animals, lavishing them with care and attention. She and Aaron shared this love and filled their family home with no fewer than three cats and at least two dogs at a time. With all these animals and four girls plus their friends, their home was frequently chaotic, but they loved it that way. Andréa made the Prevo home a place where friends and family could gather for food and togetherness.

Andréa is survived by her loving husband, Aaron; her daughters, Addison, Mira, Ava, and Emerson; her parents, Scott and Deborah; her brother, Chandler and his wife Kaytee; and her nephew, McKane. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and her sister, Monique.

A celebration of life will be held in her memory.

The entire family wishes to thank everyone for their outpouring of affection and sympathy during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask you to consider making a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance (OCRA) in Andréa's name. https://tribute.ocrahope.org/andreaprevo
