Amie Kristine Thurnwald

Amie Kristine Thurnwald passed away November 27, 2024, at the Holycross Hospital in Layton, Utah. She was born July 23, 1991, in Layton, Utah to Dieter Thurnwald and Kristy Lynn Thurnwald.

Amie had the sweetest and most sincere heart, which she had gotten from her mother. Her personality was top tier, and she had jokes for days. Anyone that had the pleasure of knowing Amie (even just by talking to her) knew that she was one of a kind. She had the ability to make everyone feel so special and so loved. 

Some of Amies hobbies’ she enjoyed were collecting crystals, listening to EDM music, movies with her family, and attending concerts with her sister. 

Amie is survived by her (Father) Dieter Thurnwald, (Brother) Nikolas Thurnwald, and Alisha Villarruel (Sister) Amber Baxter, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her (Mother) Kristy Lynn Thurnwald, (Grandparents) Leon “Rusty”, Emily Campbell and (Grandfather) Don Dudley. 

The family would like to thank the E.R. and ICU members at Holy Cross Hospital. 

Amie was admitted to the E.R. and then transferred to ICU on Monday November 25, 2024, due to an undetermined illness and had succumbed to that illness on Wednesday November 27, 2024. The family will share details as soon as they are available.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Amies honor on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd. Layton, Utah 84041.
