Amber Wolfley

January 30, 1978 — July 31, 2023

Amber Wolfley, 45, of Roy, UT, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, July 31, 2023. She was born January 30, 1978 in Salmon, Idaho.

Growing up, Amber was a little fireball who kept everyone on their toes. She beat to the tune of her own drum, which landed her the nickname “Rambo.” She was always the life of the party and made friends wherever she went. She did a fantastic imitation of Woody Woodpecker’s laugh. Amber graduated from Roy High School in 1996 where she also got her cosmetology license. She spent over 20 years as a stylist and loved doing hair. Amber was also very determined and if she put her mind to something she would get it done.

Amber was a mom and was always proud of her daughters, Madison and Hannah. Madison’s favorite memory of her mom was in elementary school when Amber stopped by and threw out candy to her and her classmates. Everyone thought it was so fun. Amber also liked to ask people at stoplights if they had any Grey Poupon, which embarrassed Madison, but also made her laugh. Amber worked at the Sears hair salon in the mall and often took Madison and a friend with her while she worked. She would give them money to go to stores and if they spent it, they would run back and Amber would always give them more so they could continue their adventures. Amber acted as the assistant coach for Madison’s youth soccer team and Amber’s support meant the world to Madison. She loved her mom. Hannah’s favorite memory of her mom was going out for late night car rides together. They would listen to music and sing along while dancing in their seats. She taught Hannah to drive during some of those nights. Amber always knew how to have fun and Hannah will miss her deeply.

Amber is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Madison Wolfley and Hannah Chessmore; parents, Monty and Latawn Wolfley; siblings Gordon (Sheri) Wolfley, Jennifer (Aaron) Van Wagoner, and Carla (Brandon) Warenski; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Joshua Money; and grandparents, Edgar and Carmon Wolfley, and Henry and DeVeda Erickson.

Amber will be missed by many, but all that knew her know that she is in a better place and is freed from the challenges of this world.

At the request of the family, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Amber’s final resting place will be in Salmon, Idaho, alongside many aunts and uncles.
