Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Alice Viriginia Clark Gee passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in 1938 in Quincy, Florida, Alice was the oldest child of Elvia Lillian Henderson and Hubert Marco Clark. She is preceded in death by her two younger siblings, Julia and Glenn Clark. Alice attended primary and secondary schools in Quincy, Florida, where she distinguished herself as a public speaker. She attended BYU in 1956 where she met her husband, Ivin Laurence Gee. They married in the Salt Lake Temple in 1958. They have been blessed with eight children, thirty-three grandchildren, and a growing number of great grandchildren.
After her marriage, she lived in Salt Lake City and Ogden while her husband finished his medical degree. In 1965 the family moved to Lander, Wyoming. Apart from the two years of her husband’s service in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war, the family remained in Lander until she and her husband left to serve as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints – twice serving in the Eastern European Area, once in Frankfurt, Germany and once in Moscow, Russia. Following their missions, they were ordinance workers in the Bountiful Temple.
Over the years, Alice has pursued her interests in art, cooking, and music while raising a large family and supporting a busy husband. She also served in numerous capacities in the church, including Relief Society president, and Gospel Doctrine and Seminary teacher. She loved watching and cheering on the BYU football and basketball teams and rarely missed a game. For a brief time, she managed a family-owned dry-cleaning business. She also loved to travel and became a travel agent in the 1980s.
Alice is survived by her husband, Laurence, and her eight children: Clark Gee (Melanie); Mary Ellen Marshall (Steve); Juliana Dixon; John Gee (Kathleen); Rachel Gray (Steve); Aaron Gee (Sandra); Joseph Gee (Erin) and Philip Gee (Jennie).
