OGDEN- ADA MARJORIE MOYES

Ada Marjorie Moyes passed away at her home on January 6, 2012 of natural causes. She was born October 30, 1916 in Ogden, Utah to Dr. George G. and Ada Grant Moyes.

Marjorie attended Ogden city Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. She graduated from Weber College and the University of Utah, where she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree and later a Master of Arts in French. While at the University of Utah she was affiliated with Phi Mu Sorority, and Sigma Kappa Phi, Natural Honorary Language Fraternity. She taught Spanish, French and English at Washington Jr. High School,Ogden High School, and Ben Lomond High School. She also taught French at Weber College Night School for a number of years.

Marjorie was a charter member of Bethel #2 Order of Job''s Daughters in Ogden. She was a member and past president of the Women''s University Club, and a member of the Birthday Club.

She was an avid reader and a musician. She played several instruments and in earlier years was a member of several different musical groups.

Surviving are a number of close cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Grant Moyes

There will be Graveside Services at 2 p.m. at Ogden City Cemetery on Thursday January 12, 2012. Family will meet with friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary 3408 Washington Blvd.

Marjorie was truly grateful for the compassionate gentle care and friendship given to her by the staff at Inspiration Hospice, especially Ann, Valita, Jody, Sunny and Cassie, also a caring friend Beverly Johnson.

Marjorie was very close to her cousins Chuck and Myrle Ehmann. She received much pleasure from their love and support, the many food preparations and weekly visits. A special thanks to Leona Pettigrew for her kindness and loving care for the past few years, which made it possible for Marjorie to stay in her home.
