Ada Marie Barton

Ada Marie Barton was born September 30, 1953, to Gilbert Calder Barton and Ada Joy Cannon. She has lived in Seattle, Washington, California, Salt Lake City, Utah and Ogden, Utah. She was named after her mother and her great grandmother Ada Maria Cannon.

Ada was very knowledgeable about nutrition and enjoyed learning about a number of topics; especially science since her father was a physics professor at Weber State University. She graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State University.

Ada had a powerful soprano voice and studied voice at the University of Utah. She auditioned for the Metropolitan Opera which was a highlight of her life and sang in the Utah Opera company. She was also a talented artist.

Ada Marie passed away at Ogden Regional Medical Center on December 1, 2025, and was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Matthew and Elisabeth.

Ada will be cremated and a graveside service at the Salt Lake Cemetery will be held at a later date.
