Aaron "AJ" Cook

June 8, 1986 — July 8, 2021

Aaron Jeffrey Cook – “AJ”

1986-2021

Our beloved son, brother, husband and father left this earth on July 8, 2021. He was the 11th and last child of Homer J and Karen M Cook. He was born June 8, 1986 in Ogden, Utah

AJ attended Davis High School and was a member of the Davis High Drumline and goalie for the Davis Hockey Team. He sealed the title “7 birds for 7 brothers" when he became the last of the seven Cook boys to receive his Eagle Scout Award. He served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Illinois, Peoria Mission from 2006 to 2008.

He met his sweetheart, Melissa, and they were married in the Salt Lake Temple on July 20, 2010. They were blessed with two beautiful sons, Cohen and Conrad.

AJ received his Bachelor's degree in Aviation Science from UVU and worked as a charter pilot in the private sector. He loved flying and enjoyed sharing that passion with his extended family.  AJ was a hardworking pilot, tender spouse, playful father and always kind to anyone he met on his path.

AJ was preceded in death by his grandparents, father-in-law, a niece and a nephew. He leaves behind a loving wife, Melissa, and two sons Cohen and Conrad. His mother and father, Homer and Karen Cook siblings Echo (Scott) Roberts, Johnnie (Maureen) Cook, Toni (Matt) Gifford, David Cook, James (Chad) Cook, Mike (Sherri) Cook, Christy (Leif) Nordstrom, Philip Cook, Stephen (Jamie) Cook, and Betsy (Tod) Zwahlen and a large extended family of in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, neighbors and ward members in the Rockwood Ward in Stansbury Park.

AJ was deeply loved by all; our world is less bright without him.  AJ may you always soar the skies; we know we will see you again and look forward to that day!
