It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Aaron Brad Salmon, beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. Aaron passed unexpectedly on Saturday September 6, 2025 in Keller, Texas.
Aaron was born on December 27, 1979 in Bountiful, Utah. He grew up in Layton, Utah, attending schools there and graduating from Layton High School in 1998. After serving a two year mission in Lisbon, Portugal, he attended Weber State University where he completed his pre-dental studies. He went on to graduate with honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2009. After serving in the Public Health Service for three years in Yuma, Arizona, Aaron moved to Dallas and set up his dental practice there. He has been a co-owner and practitioner at Marina Dental and Globo Dental for the past 13 years.
Aaron had two children, Kieley Salmon and Blake Salmon with his former wife, Kristel Mellot.
Aaron was an avid fisherman and always enjoyed his time on the water. Whether off the coast of Mexico or in the wilderness of Alaska, a rod, reel, and a variety of fish always brought him to a place of happiness. Throughout his life, Aaron enjoyed competition and sport. Later in life, his time spent in that pursuit turned from basketball to golf and tennis. Aaron was always up for a round of golf and enjoyed competing together with his father and brothers whenever they could be together. Aaron also shared his passion for golf with a close group of long-time friends who were faithful at spending a weekend every year together playing golf.
Aaron was always up for an adventure and loved to travel. He and his children shared many experiences exploring far-away cities and traveling to exciting places all around the globe. Aaron also had a love for animals and always shared his home with at least one or more dogs. His two furry companions, Buddy and Honey, will miss their human dad.
Aaron is survived by his two children, Kieley Salmon and Blake Salmon, both of Mt. Green, Utah, parents Brad and Marian Salmon, of Layton, Utah, three brothers, Spencer Salmon (Amy), Texas, Jay Salmon (Stacy), Florida, Robert Salmon (Abby), Utah, and a sister Melissa McKinley (Aaron), Utah. He is also survived by thirteen nieces and nephews who miss Uncle Aaron.
Aaron is preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, Eugene and Betty Salmon and Wilford and Varlene Geddes.
