Phyllis B. Evans OGDEN – Phyllis B. Evans, 88, died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Ogden. She was born October 13, 1919 in Deweyville, Utah, a daughter of Victor and Nellie Mary Cook Burbank. She moved to California for a short time with her family, returning to Utah where she lived for the remainder of her life. She was a graduate of Bear River High School. On July 26, 1947, Phyllis married Glen T. Evans in Evanston, Wyoming. Glen preceded her in death March 8, 1988. Phyllis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Primary teacher for many years and also a Relief Society teacher. Phyllis enjoyed reading, handwork, her flowers and traveling with her daughter Vicki to Hawaii, Australia, Tahiti, New Zealand and other exotic places. Surviving are two daughters, Vicki Evans, Ogden; Glenys (Stan) Nebeker, Roy; one stepdaughter, Arleen Turner and family, Pocatello, ID; one stepson, Kenneth Armstrong and family, Calgary, Canada; two grandchildren, Cody (Donique) Nebeker, Riverdale; Tara (Jon) Larson, Salt Lake City; and two great-grandchildren, Layne and Klaire, both of Salt Lake City. Also surviving is her sister, Doris Moritz, Diamond Bar, CA; and her special friends, Annette and Jazette Johnson, Oregon. Preceding Phyllis in death were her husband Glen, parents, and brothers, Luther and Parley Burbank. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., on Saturday 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Email condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
