Dean Lee Hadlock

Dean Lee Hadlock, of North Ogden, passed away at home on August 17, 2017, after a battle with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Dean was born on April 10, 1940, to LeRoy and Ethel Larson Hadlock in Ogden, Utah.  He was an Ogden High graduate and attended Weber State College.  He loved his country, and served in the United States Air Force.  After military service, he worked at the Defense Depot Ogden and Hill Air Force Base.  He treasured his associations and was honored to serve in many leadership positions with both the American Legion and Kiwanis International.

Dean married Myrtle Jeppsen on June 20, 1977 and with that marriage gained four children whom he loved.  He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He served two missions with his wife in the Jamaica Kingston, and Puerto Rico San Juan Missions.

Dean is survived by his wife; four children, Denise Allen of North Salt Lake, Cary N. (Chelli) Allen of Clinton, Bradley J. (Cheryl) Allen of Harrisville, and Vicki (Eric) Clark of Harrisville; 14 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Karleen Bechtel and niece, Kara Bechtel, both of South Jordan.  He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather George Noe, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the North Ogden 17th Ward, 386 East Elberta Drive.  Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd. and Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden.

In lieu of flowers donations to LDS Humanitarian Fund are suggested.
