J. RONALD REMIGI
J. Ronald Remigi, 78, of Bountiful, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home after a long illness of Pulmonary Cystic Fibrosis on December 3, 2018.
Ron was born the only child to John Smiraldi Remigi and Helen Henderson Remigi on May 12, 1940, in SLC. He lost his mother at the age of 7 to a battle with breast cancer and he will have his wish honored to be buried next to his mother. He went to school at Bountiful High School, graduating class of 1958 He married Laurelee Salt on January 24, 1959 in Elko, NV. He attended Technical College of Engineering and held a career as an Aerospace Engineer for Alliant Tech Systems, Magna Utah. He retired after 39 years at age the age of 59. He was known as “The Guru” by his associates as he was often the analytical consult for solving baffling rocket engineering questions. He did everything for his family and was a stable provider, even through times of illness.., you could always depend on him. He was the Patriarch of his family and very proud of every one of his grandchildren. His loving wife, Laurelee, was his everything and took care of him throughout his life. He was passionate about involvement with his children’s and grandchildren’s sports activities and coached Little League Football for all 3 of his boys. He made his only daughter play soccer to make certain she really didn’t want to run up and down the field. He enjoyed hunting and discovering in Southern Utah and Western U.S including Alaska. He built a beautiful family cabin in Teasdale, Utah after his retirement.
J. Ronald is preceded in death by his mother, father and son Brett James Remigi.
J. Ronald is survived by his spouse Laurelee Salt Remigi; sons, Rex M. Remigi (Wendee), Ronald A. Remigi; daughter, Analee Wise; grandchildren: Taylor, Dalton, Isabella, children of Rex & Wendee Remigi, Tyson, son of Ronald A. Remigi and Cody, Caleb and Ashlee, children of Analee Wise.
His dog, Loki will miss his loving attention and generous supply of treats!
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. Bountiful, UT. where friends and family may visit on Friday, Dec. 7th from 6-8pm and on Saturday from 9:30-10:30am prior to the service at the Mortuary.
