He was born June 21, 1941 in Alberene, VA to Lloyd Hampton Brown, Sr. and June Josephson Brown. After graduation from high school in Maryland, he joined the United States Air Force and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict.

Lloyd married Jeanette Nicholas on October 25, 1963 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had three children together and later divorced. He married Linda Kay Shinkle on September 15, 1984.

Lloyd retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1993 and with his wife was able to build a home on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State and live his retirement dream. They returned to Utah in 2006.

He was a member of the Utah State Firefighters Association, Utah State Fire Chiefs Association and Davis County Utah Fire Chiefs Association. He served as Clinton City Fire Chief from 1975 to 1993. His comradery with his fellow firefighters was the highlight of his career. Lloyd absolutely loved and was so very proud to serve the citizens of Clinton City and Davis County.
