“Together Forever”

Alice Rackham Proctor our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the age of 88.

Alice was born on July 30, 1928 in Ogden, Utah, to Vernie Henry and Grace Mildred Cherry Rackham.  She was raised in Ogden.

She married Edward Gerald Proctor on June 30, 1944 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.  Although Ed passed away on May 12, 2001, Alice continued to celebrate each and every wedding anniversary; they are now together again and will be celebrating 73 years this summer.

Alice served as a visiting teacher supervisor and a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Conestoga Camp for over 30 years.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, exercising, reading, ceramics, crocheting, gardening, sewing, scenic drives, camping, and for many years baking her famous Twister Rolls.

She set a great example throughout her life as a caregiver; and was lovingly cared for by her children during the last few years of her life.

Alice is survived by her children, LeeAnn Lawrence of Ogden, Ron (Tami) Proctor of Eden, and Linda (Robert) Dean of Ogden; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jerry Rackham.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed; parents, Vernie and Grace; brothers, Paul, Art, Ralph, and Karl; and sister, Viv.
